Summary

The Certified Health Coach role is an independent contractor within the New Beginnings Team.

The Certified Health Coach is responsible for providing virtual and onsite lifestyle coaching to program participants. The Certified Health Coach serves as the primary supporter and facilitator for the well-being of program members once enrolled into a coaching program. This position is responsible for assessing and cultivating healthy lifestyle habits, providing appropriate interventions in the realm of fitness, and guiding clients through the many challenges of living a healthful lifestyle. This position will combine both client interface and virtual coaching methods to enhance overall program adherence.

Requirements:

Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to all Health Coaching program participants at onsite facilities in Burnet, TX region;

• Opportunity to deliver virtual services remotely;

• Conducting initial consultations and evaluations of individuals in the program;

• Develop health care plans tailored to each client’s needs;

• Support clients in their recovery, rehabilitation, wellness goals and more;

• Travel to local fitness facilities to deliver health promotion activities including: seminars, health education booths, cooking demos and more;

• Display a positive attitude and constant high energy;

• Willingness to problem-solve and innovate;

• Represent The New Beginnings mission on a daily basis to drive engagement at client/partner events;

Qualifications, Competencies & Requirements​

• Relevant health and wellness industry certification 

• Preferred, but not required, experience delivering health coaching

• Preferred, experience managing conversations and delivering a meaningful experience within a professional setting.

• Personal passion for health and fitness.

• Ability to work independently and make effective decisions as they relate to event goals, client relationships, and the New Beginnings brand.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable, professional, client-ready transportation and way to access virtual sessions (ie, stable internet connection and reliable computer.

• Possess organizational skills.

• Demonstrated listening skills and ability to execute projects in a timely manner.

• Ability to manage priorities with exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
